Robusto sistema di sollevamento di pesanti componenti in metallo
Lubas, azienda tedesca produttrice di macchinari e attrezzature, si è guadagnata una solida reputazione nella costruzione di sistemi di sollevamento a vuoto per carichi estremamente pesanti. "Il nostro core business è la costruzione di traverse di sollevamento per carichi a partire dai 5.000 kg", spiega Alexia Bockermann, responsabile della pianificazione e dell'installazione elettrotecnica presso Lubas. Tra le più potenti macchine di sollevamento mai realizzate in serie nella linea di produzione Lubas ci sono i modelli della serie UniTravMega. Lubas sta attualmente costruendo due traverse UniTravMega con una capacità di sollevamento di 15 tonnellate ciascuna. Il vuoto generato da ogni singola ventosa viene registrato dai sensori di pressione Turck serie PS e visualizzato direttamente sul posto tramite display. Lubas ha installato due stazioni I/O BL67 per registrare e tramettere i valori misurati al controller.
Temperature entro i limiti
Le lamiere raggiungono temperature di oltre 200 °C. Sebbene gli speciali elastomeri vulcanizzati utilizzati per le ventose sottovuoto resistano a temperature fino a 250 °C, l'elettronica integrata nella parte superiore della struttura in acciaio è notevolmente più sensibile. “Non sono solo le lamiere posizionate sotto la traversa ad essere estremamente calde, ma occorre tenere conto di una temperatura media dell'ambiente di 60-70 °C", spiega Bockermann. "Tutto questo sottopone l'elettronica a condizioni molto difficili".
Per un ambiente così speciale, Turck ha saputo fornire la soluzione più adatta: la stazione I/O remota BL67 e i sensori di pressione Serie PS. "Per la prima volta abbiamo implementato un concetto decentralizzato con le stazioni BL67. In passato utilizzavamo le morsettiere nel quadro elettrico. La rapida installazione con connettori plug-in M12 e moduli elettronici rappresenta un vantaggio considerevole", afferma Bockermann, parlando della decisione dell'azienda di utilizzare i prodotti Turck. Le stazioni fieldbus compatte costituiscono un ulteriore vantaggio: Per BL67, Turck offre anche gateway Ethernet impiegabili per collegare i sistemi di sollevamento alla rete aziendale. "In questo modo è possibile monitorare attraverso la rete aziendale quante tonnellate è in grado di movimentare il sistema di sollevamento o quanti tubi sono stati immessi in produzione".
Entrambe le stazioni BL67 utilizzate dal sistema UniTravMega registrano i segnali dei 53 sensori di pressione installati sopra le ventose. I display girevoli consentono di controllare facilmente e direttamente le singole ventose e di programmarle comodamente utilizzando solo 3 pulsanti, rendendo ridondanti i laptop o altri dispositivi di programmazione esterni. "Per la sicurezza e la manutenzione della traversa di sollevamento, è molto importante vedere se viene generato il vuoto in ciascuna ventosa. Senza i sensori di pressione e i display, sarebbe necessario controllare ogni ventosa con una piastra di prova. Grazie ai sensori di pressione, il cliente può risparmiare i costi e la manodopera necessari per questo compito", spiega Bockermann.
